  • TBWO:

The best thing about this product and that you can wear it all day without thoughts of suicide! Unfortunately it doesn’t provide the same results as the uncomfortable ones either. I guess you can’t have it all.

  • This shaper seems to be made with the male waist/hip ratio in mind, or at least taken into consideration. The waist is not nearly as tight as the other long leg shapers. It is sleek, shiny, and gives moderate to strong control. There is no butt separation or lift. You end up with a uni-butt. I would give it four stars if it had longer legs. I’m 5-11 and 175 lbs. I wear a medium.

  • I purchased this item, and chose a size (medium) that, according to manufacturer sizing charts, was supposed to fit. My understanding about garments is that if they ride up or curl down, they’re too small. Spanx’ error in this regard is really inexcusable, given the price of their items. I can’t recommend this item, even if you were to buy a larger size than you think you need, because I don’t know if that would prevent the rolling problem. I have found that even wearing a Spanx shaper underneath or over is no guarantee–in fact, the top of the pants rolled DOWN even while the camisole was rolling UP!

  • I like how the Spanx Mid Thigh Smoother doesn’t make much of a line on my thighs when I’m wearing clingy pants or skirt.

However, the waist is too loose and tends to roll down a bit after I’ve had it on for a while. I’m a size 8 / 10, and ordered the Medium size Spanx. My suggestion would be to order a smaller size than you think you need.

  • I have bought this product, as well as the mid rise set (Under breasts to knees) and I love them both.

    Some realities:

    - these aren’t bike shorts. They are going to be a little tight, and may take a bit of trial and error to get the right size. I recommend going to the procuct’s website and using their sizing charts.

    - These arent going to work for every single person. Someone wrote that they were rolling up/down. I’m guessing there is a chance someone was trying to wear a size on the smaller size trying to look thinner, but these garments are not to make you thinner, they are to smooth you out. But the right size, and they will do just that.

    - this is the first smoother I’ve ever tried that doesn’t dig in around the waist or thigh. Horray!! There is nothing worse than wearing smoothers that leave a big dig in mark on my chubby legs hehe

    - they are very well designed, but they do also wear out faster than I expected. You have to be mindful of this. If you plan to wear daily, be prepared that they may start to ladder or lose elasticity.

I love this product. I do suggest giving them a try as you may be really surprized how great they feel. They don’t squeeze the life out of you, and are very comfortable. Just be honest with the sizing and realistic with your expectations.
