I ordered spanx underwear after seeing an infomercial on tv. I wore them for the first time Sat. night. I followed the online directions for the size I would need. My first thought was that these were too small. I pulled and tugged and stuffed myself in though. I must say my dress looked better. However, I could hardly breathe. I thought I’d get used to it. However, in the car on the way to the restaurant, I made my husband turn around and go home so I could get them off. Sitting, I think, pushed everything up into my ribcage. I actually got them off in the car and immediately felt the blood returning to circulation. I could literally feel it. Anyway, woke up the next day with a soreness under my ribcage. At first I didn’t know why. I went to the doc on Monday for a checkup and mentioned the sore rib. He said I bruised that area and should use ice and nuprin. NEVER again. I wear control top pantyhose and have never had an experience as bad as this…..

I purchased Spanx in Feb. The large was huge on me so I called to do an exchange. They said they would send a Med and credit me for the return when they received it. When I didn’t get a credit I called several times and was told they may not have processed it yet, try back. Later I was told that they had changed their customer service company and couldn’t look up my order anymore, that they would have to put in a request and someone would call me back within 24-72 hrs. I called three times and no one ever called me back. The kicker is that my credit card company can’t file a dispute now because they put me off for more than 60 days. Now I am out the $72 for the return AND out $72 for the medium because even in the correct size I think this product is WORTHLESS!!! Even with the bra loops is falls down and it does not suck me in as well as my other shapers. Yes, it is more comfortable, but who cares if it doesn’t get the job done!!!!!!!!! DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT AND BE WARRNED IF YOU DO THAT THEY HAVE HORIABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Not to mention that Target now has a line called Assets by Sara Blakley that is exactly the same stuff at half the price.

I have been using this bodysuit/shaper for 2 weeks now. I find the straps are not necessary because this thing is not coming down at least for me and I move around and do a lot of bending. That gusset opening would lead one to think the suit was made by a man (probably was) because there is no way to handle nature’s call w/o pulling the whole thing down. Maybe I’m missing something, but there is just no way to comfortably do your thing. However, the fact that it gives me the hold and look I want, its a small price to pay. I will probably order a couple more so I can switch off. I did not find it to be a problem wearing in the warm weather. I have had it on in 85 degree heat and did not have a problem, of course everyone is different. Sometimes ya gotta make a sacrafice. By the way be sure to get the right size. I wear a size 16 so I ordered the large and at first I thought this is not going to fit. Just take your time putting it on and you’ll see it works.

Okay, let me just say it is an incredible gymnastic feat to pull this onto your body. I have been wearing generic ‘Spanx’ for years to smooth out bumps and what-not, but nothing has ever been a challenge like this.
I got some good advice. Buy a size too small. I would have been inclined to buy a 1X, as I wear a 14 or 16 dress size; but I went ahead and bought the XL. Seriously thought about buying the L… Anyway, buy the smallest one you can possibly justify. This bad boy will suck you in, tighten you up, and absolutely correct your posture. Plus, if you are top heavy this thing is amazing because you can WEAR YOUR OWN BRA! None of those absurd, flimsy little bras built into body shapers that leave you bouncing more than Baywatch.
The straps to your bra are tricky at best. Very thoughtful though. Going to the restroom is a challenge of your grace and athleticism, but can be done.
Overall, I would say a definite yes to another of these. Girls, we jiggle! This will make sure you don’t.

LOVE that it hooks on to whatever bra you want. A little awkward to put on but once it’s there you are good to go. The slit in the crotch made me laugh out loud – I didn’t expect it to be there – but helpful none the less.
